Website briefs
The build brief, what it costs, and the public link you can share with a business.
A brief is the audit turned into something a business owner can read: what their site does badly, what it would take to fix, and what the finished thing should do. It is the artefact you take into a conversation once the conversation is about building rather than about whether to.
Generating one
Open a lead and generate the brief from the build panel. It costs one build credit, a separate currency from lead credits: Starter includes 1 a week and Pro 6. Regenerating costs another, because it is another generation.
The brief is written from the audit that is already attached to the lead — the measured checks, the issues that were verified, the business category and what its competitors in the same market look like. It does not invent findings, and it will not claim a result it cannot point at.
Sharing it
A brief can be published to a public link you send to the business. The link is unguessable, expires on a schedule you pick — one day, seven or thirty — and can be revoked at any moment, which takes effect immediately.
What the public page never contains:
- Your notes, the phone numbers, the pipeline stage.
- Any outreach copy, approved or otherwise.
- Any photograph of the business. The workspace shows one where the business has a creditable public photo; the shared page shows none at all.
There is a sample brief if you want to see the shape before you spend a credit on one.
Running out
Build credits are deliberately fewer than lead credits — a brief costs real money to produce, and not every lead earns one. When the week runs out you can buy a pack of 25 for A$15. Purchased credits do not expire and are spent only after the weekly allowance is gone. See Plans and billing.
