Outreach drafts
How a draft is written, what it is allowed to claim, and why nothing sends.
Nothing sends
There is no send action anywhere in Halfbuilt, and no mailbox is connected to it. A draft is written, you approve it, you copy it, and it leaves from your own address in your own client. This is a product decision rather than a missing feature: an unattended tool that writes and sends is a tool that eventually sends something wrong to somebody who did not ask for it, under your name.
What a draft is allowed to say
- Only verified issues.A draft may reference the findings attached to that lead’s audit and nothing else.
- No guaranteed outcomes. No promised ranking, traffic or revenue figure.
- Ninety words at most. Anything longer is a proposal, and a proposal is not a first message.
It is written against your outreach profile — who you are, what you build, where you work — which you set in Settings. Fill that in before the first draft; a generic message is the one that gets deleted.
Approval
A new draft is unapproved, and unapproved drafts cannot be copied or exported. Read it, edit anything that is not right, then approve. The gate is small on purpose: it is the point at which a person takes responsibility for the words.
Approved drafts appear in the Action Inbox as ready, and the lead can be moved to Draft ready so the pipeline shows what is waiting on you.
Editing and regenerating
Editing is free and unlimited — it is a text field. Regenerating asks the model again and produces a different draft; the current one is replaced, so copy anything worth keeping first.
Who you should not contact
A lead marked Do not contact gets no draft offered. Businesses on the suppression list never enter the workspace at all. Keep both current: it costs nothing, and it is the difference between prospecting and nuisance.
Australian spam and privacy rules apply to what you send, not to what the product drafts. The acceptable use policy is the short version of what this product may not be used for.
